People Arm Up as the U.S. Goes to Hell in a Hand Basket

The liberals would love to live in an ignorant bubble where only Republicans are buying guns. However, the new statistics show that Americans across the board are buying guns.

But, why?

It can’t be that people are scared of what the future looks like under the Biden administration, can it?

Crime is rising in a number of Dem-led cities, including Chicago, New York, and Austin.

Illegal immigrants entering at the southern border are often criminals – and are continuously committing crimes.

Now, Afghanistan has fallen to the hands of terrorists and we have to wonder if the Taliban will strike on U.S. soil.

Yeah, it makes sense that people want to arm up so that they can defend themselves if and when the time comes.

The FBI has shared the statistics. August was the second-most number of National Instant Background Check System (NICS) checks out of any August in U.S. history. There were over 2.7 million checks conducted – falling second to the 3.1 million that was conducted in August of 2020.

Clearly, people don’t have a lot of confidence in their city, state, and federal government. People want to be armed because they need to protect themselves.

And really, the liberals have done this to themselves. Cries of “defund the police” and “we’re coming for your guns” have terrified people.

One, you cannot defund the police because lawlessness will ensue on the streets.

Two, you will not come for our guns because it is our constitutional right to bear arms.

It’s not as if August marks some random month where people like to buy guns. For the past 18 months, we have been seeing record-breaking instances of people acquiring background checks so that they can purchase weapons.

Firearms of every type are flying off the shelves – and some stores are sold out of guns, ammo, or both. We’re in scary times when people feel as though they have no choice but to stock their homes with guns because the government is failing to protect them.

Now, NICS checks are not the exact measurement of how many guns are being sold. It simply means that someone is getting background checked to buy a gun. However, once the background check is passed, a person has the ability to buy more than one gun.

The Biden administration has made it obvious that Americans don’t come first. We fall somewhere behind the Mexican immigrants, the Central American immigrants, the asylum seekers from Haiti, and the Afghans who have just escaped the Taliban.

We miss the days when “America First” was a presidential priority. Yet, we only see that approach when there’s a Republican in office. Until we can get more GOP leadership in the White House, we will continuously see others put before us. And, as more are put before us, we have no choice but to endure the background checks and buy guns. If the government isn’t going to protect us, we have to protect ourselves.

The administration just better hope that things don’t get much worse. Otherwise, everyone who has been buying the guns will be forced to use them. And if they ever want to talk about taking our guns from us again, they better check those FBI statistics a bit closer…
