Biden Focuses on the Issues No One Wants as Poverty Climbs

There are a number of reasons why President Biden isn’t doing well in the polls. However, it seems that he’s focused on all of the wrong issues. He wants to create issues where there aren’t any so that it looks like he’s doing his job.

Do we really want to get rid of gas-powered cars? No. Think about how many people would be left without cars with that kind of legislation.

Do we really want to see more railways around the country to enhance transportation options? No. Anyone who has had to deal with a train track in their backyard knows that it’s beyond loud.

Yet, these are the issues that Biden seems to be pushing. Meanwhile, poverty is climbing out of control because he’s been looking at the wrong things. Thanks to COVID and the ridiculous Democrats with their mandates, poverty has grown tremendously over the past two years.

Across the globe, over half a billion people were pushed into what the World Health Organization identifies as “extreme poverty.” Many had to pay for health costs out of their own pockets – and it bankrupted them entirely.

Health services were completely disrupted – and it led to the worst economic crisis since the 1930s. The World Bank and the World Health Organization made a joint statement to say how the COVID-19 pandemic has made it more difficult for people to pay for healthcare.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, “All governments must immediately resume and accelerate efforts to ensure every one of their citizens can access health services without fear of the financial consequences.”

While it’s easy to look to third-world countries and assume that the director is referring to them, one glance around the U.S. shows that there’s poverty on our streets. Throughout many cities, homelessness is spilling out into the parks, the overpasses, and the downtown areas. People are struggling to make ends meet – and Biden is doing nothing.

If anything, Biden is only making matters worse. He’s allowing COVID-ridden immigrants to enter the country illegally, stealing resources from Americans. He’s mandating a vaccine that poses more health problems for some. And, he’s making it hard for people to find work due to the vaccine mandates.

Shouldn’t we be making sure that Americans are taken care of? The Who Director has said that it’s time for citizens to access health services – and without wondering how they’re going to pay for it.

We can’t even get a home COVID test without being charged over $20 for two. And for those who need a rapid test, there are many labs charging $100 or more.

As for those who actually need to be hospitalized due to COVID complications, the medical bills are astronomical. And notice the Dems aren’t jumping in to have those eliminated. No, instead, they’ll fundraise to pay the bail for criminals or demand that student loans be forgiven for those who knew what they were getting themselves into when they sought the degree and signed up for those loans.

No one is asking for COVID. No one is expecting these costs to get through the pandemic. Yet, Americans are being punished by a Democratic president who has focused his attention on other issues.

The U.S. government has to do better. We can’t allow people to fall into poverty due to progressive agendas that appear to want to help the very people that they’re hurting. If Biden and his team of liberal misfits can’t do something, they need to be booted so that we can start addressing the real problems once and for all.
