“Flagship” Publication for Evangelicals is Taken by the Left

If you haven’t noticed, the political left has been slowly and rather methodically taking over everything. And now, they’ve also conquered the “flagship of evangelical publications.

If you’re a Christian, you’ve probably heard of Christianity Today, a publication founded by Billy Graham and dedicated to Christ’s teachings. But as the Daily Wire recently reported, it seems that a number of Christianity Today employees and higher-ups have donated to those on the progressive left in the past few years.

As Megan Basham wrote, “Between 2015 and 2022, nine Christianity Today employees made 73 political donations. ALL OF THEM WENT TO DEMOCRATS.” (emphasis mine)

The Daily Wire noted that one of the biggest donors includes President and CEO of Christianity Today, Timothy Dalrymple. He’s given two separate payments, amounting to $300, to failed Georgia Senate candidate Sarah Riggs Amico.

And looking not even closely at Amico will tell you that she’s not some centrist Democrat who dips her toe into issues on both sides of the aisle. Nope, she’s a full-blown liberal.

Not only does she support abortion, she does so “without exception.” Additionally, she’d like the Hyde Amendment repealed so federal funds can be used to pay for abortions. According to her, “Abortion is healthcare.”

And if that wasn’t bad enough, she is also a “staunch LGBTQ ally” and pushes for their inclusion in all facets of life, from school curricula and sporting events to the destruction of the traditional family.

Of course, this isn’t the only proof that CT has gone liberal.

In 2019, it also put out a piece on why “Trump Should Be Removed from Office,” as CNN’s Jake Tapper pointed out.

Naturally, this and the whole abortion support flies directly in the face of what most of their readers believe. As one poll noted, over 76 percent of evangelicals who attend worship services voted for Trump in 2020.

And as I’m sure you know, the Bible is clear about where it stands on issues such as homosexuality and the destruction of life.

Yet two editors at CT have also contributed to Democratic campaigns, even” at the same time they were covering politics.”
