This is Why No One Trusts the Media…

As the 2024 general election draws closer, mainstream media is clearly trying to push the idea that you can trust them to report accurately. But the poll to supposedly prove that isn’t giving us much hope.

According to The Hollywood Reporter and Morning Consult, a poll was conducted in early May asking respondents about which news reporters could be the most trusted.

Upon being given a name, participants could answer that they have “a lot/some” trust, “not much/not at all,” or “don’t know/no opinion.”
Big names from networks including CNN, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, Fox News, NBC, and NewsNation were mentioned.

But while some responses seemed mildly accurate, others were way off base.

Take NBC News anchor Lester Holt, for example. As a big name and one not prone to too much ridiculousness on or off the air, he was named America’s most trusted media personality, with some 65 percent of respondents answering “a lot/some.”

Similarly, ABC’s Robin Roberts and David Muir had 64 percent and 63 percent, respectively, in the same category. Chris Wallace, former of Fox News, now employed by CNN, had 60 percent of respondents saying they had “a lot/some” trust in him.

However, that’s about where the reasonable responses end.

For example, 60 percent said they had “a lot/some” trust in CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who isn’t exactly known for his unbiased opinion. Coming in with lesser support, MSNBC’s anti-Trump host Rachel Maddow somehow enjoys 51 percent trust, and race-baiter Joy Reid around 44 percent.

Meanwhile, former Fox host Tucker Carlson won the least trusted award, with 49 percent saying they trust him “not much/not at all.” Only 38 percent said “a lot/some.”

Hell, even disgraced former CNN hosts Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon achieved more so-called trust than he, with 43 percent and 44 percent, respectively, saying they had a “a lot/some” confidence in them.

How is that even possible? Cuomo was literally outed for helping his brother out of a sex scandal. And Lemon is so self-centered that no one will work with him. And yet, more Americans trust them both over Tucker Carlson?

Yeah, I don’t think so. Especially since Carlson now gets more traffic on his YouTube channel than the entire CNN and MSNBC networks combined…

No wonder America can’t trust what we hear and see anymore.
