Billionaire Funds This Weekend’s Anti-Trump Protests

The left’s war on American tradition just reached a new low—and they’re using Walmart money to bankroll it.

Christy Walton, billionaire heiress to the Walmart fortune, is helping fund a wave of anti-Trump “No Kings” protests across the country this Saturday. The protests are being framed as a stand against authoritarianism, but their real goal is to smear President Trump as he leads a patriotic military parade in Washington, D.C., honoring the 250th birthday of the United States Army.

June 14 also happens to be President Trump’s 79th birthday—a coincidence that leftist media and Democratic activists are twisting into a false narrative. They’re claiming the parade is really about Trump celebrating himself. It’s not. It’s about honoring the Army.

But facts don’t matter to the anti-Trump mob.

Walton, who inherited her $17 billion fortune without lifting a finger, bought a full-page ad in the New York Times promoting the “No Kings” demonstrations. The ad accuses Trump of staging a “made-for-TV display of dominance” and calls on protesters to “mobilize” nationwide.

The irony? Walton’s fortune was built on cheap Chinese imports flowing into Walmart stores—making her one of the biggest beneficiaries of the global trade imbalance Trump has fought to fix. No wonder she opposes his America First agenda.

Even worse, Walton and her activist allies are hijacking a day meant to honor American soldiers who have defended freedom for generations. Instead of standing with our troops, they’re trying to turn the celebration into another anti-Trump smear campaign.

“Democrats haven’t changed since the Civil War,” Breitbart’s John Nolte wrote. “They are willing to launch an insurrection to hold onto their cheap goods and labor.”

The “No Kings” group’s official message makes it clear: this isn’t about Trump’s birthday. It’s about opposing any public display of strength, patriotism, or national unity that involves the military.

The group writes: “President Trump wants tanks in the street and a made-for-TV display of dominance… A spectacle meant to look like strength.” But Trump’s supporters—and the American people—know exactly what this is: a long-overdue salute to the men and women of the United States Army.

As for the “peaceful protest” promise? We’ve heard that before. From riots in 2020 to the ongoing chaos in Los Angeles, leftist mobs have a habit of starting fires and then blaming Trump for calling the fire department.

While Trump salutes soldiers, Walton and her crowd wave signs about monarchy and oppression—all while ignoring the actual freedoms being defended by the troops they claim to distrust.

This is what desperation looks like. The left can’t win on jobs. They can’t win on the border. And now, they’re protesting the Army’s birthday because they’ve run out of ideas.

But Americans see through it. And this Saturday, while the tanks roll down Pennsylvania Avenue in honor of real heroes, the Walmart-funded circus will remind everyone why Trump’s message still resonates: America first. Always.
