Musk Accuses Schumer of “Getting a Piece” of D.C. Corruption

Elon Musk is taking the gloves off in a fierce feud with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, suggesting the Democrat lawmaker may be benefiting from government waste as he leads a public crusade to clean it up.

In a blunt early morning post Tuesday, Musk wrote, “Chuck, I’m starting to think you’re getting a piece of the action with the government fraud. But no, that couldn’t possibly be the reason, could it?”

The jab was a direct response to Schumer’s attack on Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), accusing it of “sabotaging” entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare — a charge Musk has flatly rejected.

DOGE, which Musk has been heading under President Trump’s administration, has shaken Washington with revelations of misused funds, bloated budgets, and entrenched corruption. And apparently, some Democrats aren’t too happy about it.

Schumer fired back on Tuesday, denying the implication and calling Musk a liar. “Another Elon lie. He wants you to think anyone who dares to stand up to him is committing fraud, meanwhile he’s taking tens of billions from the government,” the senator posted.

But Musk wasn’t done. He blasted Schumer again after the senator doubled down, claiming that Musk’s efficiency efforts are tantamount to cutting benefits.

“The intern running Schumer’s social media account is lying,” Musk fired back on X.

This came in response to Schumer’s Monday post accusing Musk of gutting Social Security, echoing his speech on the Senate floor. “Make no mistake: What Elon Musk is doing at Social Security is cutting benefits,” Schumer declared. He claimed closing offices or slowing down websites amounted to slashing support for seniors.

Musk has argued the exact opposite — that DOGE is targeting the bloated bureaucracies and mismanagement that hurt the very people these programs are meant to help.

The latest clash reveals just how rattled D.C. elites are by the scope of DOGE’s reforms. The agency has already uncovered widespread inefficiencies, including payments to dead recipients and untraceable Medicare expenditures — the kind of rot that keeps career politicians flush with power.

Musk’s explosive suggestion that Schumer may have a personal interest in protecting this corruption isn’t just trolling — it’s a bold callout of the unholy alliance between entrenched government power and endless taxpayer dollars.

Whether Schumer can weather that storm, or whether DOGE continues to shine a light on where the money’s really going, remains to be seen.

But one thing’s clear: Musk isn’t backing down.
