Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a shock at the White House Monday by formally nominating President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, recognizing Trump’s unmatched record of forging peace deals in the Middle East while the media looks the other way.

During a meeting with Trump and his cabinet, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, Netanyahu presented Trump with a letter he sent to the Nobel Committee recommending Trump for the award.

Netanyahu praised Trump for his leadership, stating, “But the president has already realized great opportunities. He forged the Abraham Accords. He’s forging peace as we speak, in one country and one region after the other.” Netanyahu told Trump the nomination was “well-deserved.”

In his letter to the Norwegian Nobel Committee, Netanyahu highlighted Trump’s “pivotal role in facilitating the Abraham Accords,” which established formal diplomatic ties between Israel and Arab nations like the UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco, reshaping the Middle East and opening doors for expanded peace.

“Few leaders have achieved such tangible breakthroughs to peace in such a short time,” Netanyahu wrote, declaring that “in these times of great historic change, I can think of no one more deserving than President Trump of the Nobel Peace Prize.”

Trump’s historic Abraham Accords had earned him previous nominations in 2020, but the liberal media and global elites worked hard to downplay the significance of his accomplishments. Netanyahu’s move brings the spotlight back to Trump’s record, reminding the world of what real leadership can achieve in the face of constant opposition.

The visit also allowed Trump and Netanyahu to discuss the latest Israeli and American air strikes against Iran and the fragile ceasefire now in place. If this ceasefire holds and a true peace with Iran is reached, it will further cement Trump’s case for the Nobel Peace Prize, leaving the committee with little excuse to deny him the recognition he has earned.

The nomination comes alongside a growing grassroots push to recognize Trump’s contributions, with Rep. Andy Ogles calling for Trump’s face to be added to Mt. Rushmore to honor his leadership and legacy.

At a time when the radical left and the media would rather focus on division and fear, Netanyahu’s nomination is a bold reminder of the peace and stability that are possible under strong, principled leadership. Trump’s work in expanding the “circle of peace” in the Middle East is undeniable, and it’s clear that despite the left’s efforts to erase his achievements, history is already giving President Trump his due.
