Trump Declares Economic War: “We Will Win!”

President Donald Trump has a message for the American people: we are in the middle of a historic economic shift — and we’re going to win.

On Saturday, just days after his administration’s reciprocal tariffs took effect, Trump took to Truth Social to fire off a powerful rallying cry. He declared that America is undergoing an “economic revolution” and urged citizens to “hang tough” as the battle to rebuild American industry kicks into high gear.

China has been hit much harder than the USA, not even close. They, and many other nations, have treated us unsustainably badly. We have been the dumb and helpless ‘whipping post,’ but not any longer,” Trump wrote.

The statement follows a week of major economic action from the White House. Starting April 9, new tariffs will be imposed on dozens of countries, including a 34% reciprocal tariff on Chinese goods, 20% on the European Union, and a 46% hit on Vietnam. Tariffs on other nations already began rolling out over the weekend.

The goal? End the one-sided trade deals that have hollowed out American industry for decades. And if the early numbers are any indication, it’s working.

Trump revealed that more than $5 trillion in private investment has already been committed to the U.S. economy — and that number is rising fast. Among the standouts:

  • Stargate, a tech mega-partnership between OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank, is investing $500 billion.

  • Apple has pledged another $500 billion.

  • TSMC, the Taiwanese semiconductor giant, is investing $100 billion into new U.S. chip manufacturing.

  • Hyundai has committed $20 billion to American production.

Trump’s policies, particularly his tariff-driven trade realignment, have flipped the incentive structure. Instead of outsourcing to foreign labor, companies now find it cheaper — and smarter — to build here at home.

Trump also touted an executive order signed last week that accelerates federal approval for investment projects over $1 billion, cutting red tape and putting shovel-ready jobs into motion faster than ever.

While critics howl over temporary market volatility, Trump is focused on the bigger picture. “THIS IS AN ECONOMIC REVOLUTION, AND WE WILL WIN,” he declared. “HANG TOUGH, it won’t be easy, but the end result will be historic. We will, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!

Foreign nations are already starting to blink. On Friday, Trump announced that Vietnam has offered to reduce its tariffs on U.S. goods to zero in an effort to strike a deal before the reciprocal tariffs take hold. It’s a stunning admission that Trump’s strategy is producing real leverage.

As Trump explained aboard Air Force One, the short-term discomfort is a small price to pay for long-term sovereignty and industrial strength.

I don’t want anything to go down, but sometimes you have to take medicine to fix something — and we have been treated so badly by other countries,” he said.

With momentum building, pressure rising, and factories on the way back to American soil, Trump is daring the globalist elite to play by America’s rules for once — or get shut out.

This isn’t just a policy shift. It’s a declaration of independence from a global system that sold out the American worker — and Trump’s making sure this time, the people come first.
