Swalwell Accused of Ethics Violation After Teaming Up with Hunter Biden

I’m sure you’ve heard by now that Hunter Biden has again defied law and order. And this time, he got some help from a congressman.

Hunter was subpoenaed on Wednesday to privately testify before the House Judiciary Committee in a closed-door deposition. Naturally, this deposition would ask him some rather personal questions about the Biden family and their alleged corruption schemes.

However, as is unsurprising, Hunter decided not to appear before the committee. And no, it wasn’t because he had some other pressing business to attend to.

Instead, he actually showed up at the very time he was supposed to appear for the deposition just to make it known that he wouldn’t be following the legal orders.

Oh, and his little dramatic news conference stunt took place mere feet away from the House building he was supposed to be testifying in.

The place is aptly called the “Senate Swamp,” known to be reserved for news conferences for members of the Senate and Congress.

Now, since this took place mere feet away, as I mentioned, you might just think that authorities could arrest or force the younger Biden to comply. However, as was noted, this spot is on the Senate side of the compound, meaning that the House Sergeant at Arms has no real jurisdiction.

And so the committee was forced to watch Hunter defy them and not legally do anything about it. At least not yet.

But the real kicker is that Hunter Biden didn’t do all this himself.

Instead, that was the work of California Democrat and Representative Erice Swalwell.

This was confirmed on several fronts, including Swalwell himself, who noted in a comment on the situation that he did so because he believes there is no corruption within the Biden family. And he’s “not going to sit quietly and let MAGA Republicans do Trump’s bidding in Congress.”

But as GOP Congressman Darrell Issa of California noted, the move means that it’s not just Hunter Biden in violation of House law. Swalwell is, too.

For starters, he knowingly helped someone evade their legal responsibilities. And secondly, Swalwell is a sitting member of the House Judiciary Committee, the very same tasked with investigating Hunter.

The latter alone seems to be a conflict of interest.

To put it bluntly, Swalwell may have just opened not only Hunter but himself up to be held in contempt. And that’s the last thing the Biden family needs right now.
