In case you were trying to give the Biden administration the benefit of the doubt, don’t. Joe Biden is the Grinch who is trying to steal Christmas and make it more expensive.

He’s already trying to get rid of the gas stoves and ovens that we use to cook our Christmas dinner and bake our holiday cookies and pies.

Thanks to his Bidenomics, things are a lot more expensive, too.

Traditional Christmas dinners in the United States are known for their grand array of festive fare, featuring classics like roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie. Over time, there has been a growing trend towards more extravagant and elaborate feasts with families eager to create memories and indulge in the holiday spirit.

Depending on how lavish your feasts are, they could end up costing a small fortune…

  • Turkey (12-14 lbs) – $1.50 per pound ($18-$21) Other proteins are even more expensive…the average standing rib roast could easily be $80+
  • Stuffing – $6 per pound ($24 for a 4-pound bag)
  • Mashed Potatoes – $4 per pound ($16 for a 4-pound bag)
  • Cranberry Sauce – $5 per can ($20 for a 4-pack of 14 oz cans)
  • Vegetables (Carrots, Green Beans, and Brussels Sprouts) – $3 per pound each ($9 total)
  • Gravy – $3 per bottle ($6 for a 20 oz bottle)
  • Rolls/Bread – $1 per roll or loaf ($6 for a pack of 6 rolls)
  • Beverages (Water, Wine, Soda) – Varies depending on choice and quantity
  • Dessert (Bakery-made Pie) – $25 per pie

Before you know it, Christmas dinner could cost $100 or more. And once you get your energy bill (thanks to Biden raising gas prices), you’ll spend even more.

You may have made ends meet this Christmas, but next year, you might not get so lucky. It’s all the more reason to explore a better alternative when we vote in the General Election next year. We can’t allow the Grinch to destroy Christmas.
