As you have likely heard, Texas has become somewhat of a battleground state of late. Not only is the state and federal government literally taking each other on in court over our Southern border, but leftists are doing all they can to flip the state to blue before the 2024 elections.
Now, of course, Texas has been very red-blooded for quite some time. However, the Democrats have noticed a terrifying trend.
You know all those illegals they are letting walk right into our communities? Well, it was assumed that, like most minorities of the past, they would side with the liberal agenda, eventually turning Texas blue.
However, polling suggests that many are actually siding with the political right.
And so, they are bringing in the big guns… aka billionaire and anti-American businessman George Soros.
Soros has fronted millions and millions to the leftist agenda over the years, ensuring criminal-friendly prosecutors got elected and progressive policies were backed.
Now, he’s using his wealth to push liberal group growth in the Lone Star State in the hopes of turning those 40 Electoral College votes to the side of the Democrats.
According to Fox News, Soros has so far spent $3 million in the state, focusing on at least five known liberal groups.
As former Texas Representative Mayra Flores says, it’s a sign of desperation and one that’s unlikely to turn the tide. But it’s still something Texas Republicans should take notice of.
Flores, as the first Mexican-born US congresswoman, told Fox that for the Democrats, this is a very scary time. Clearly, they’ve worked for years to grow the Hispanic population in the US, undoubtedly with the hope of being rewarded with thousands more votes.
However, “They’re seeing that Hispanics are shifting towards the Republican Party because they’re realizing that we are the party of prosperity, that we want to build a strong economy, that we want to secure the border, that we want to prioritize people of this country and not prioritize people from outside the country.”
And that’s something they can’t afford to have happen. Enter Soros and his millions.
