The Biden regime continues to tell everyone what a great job they’ve done with the economy, even as Americans dip further into their 401(k)s or rack up credit card debt just to stay afloat. Only 18% of workers say their salaries have kept up with Bidenflation. Everyone feels the pain of Bidens’ dismal economy, but few probably realize just how incredibly bad it really is.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) just reported that inflation ran at 3.2% between February 2023 and February 2024. But only tells you part of the story. To realize just how much Joe Biden’s failed policies have crushed American families, you have to look at what prices were like at the end of Donald Trump’s amazing first term in office. That’s the only way to take in the scope of three straight years of deliberate inflation.
TIPPinsights ran the numbers, and they are dire. Food prices have increased by 20.6% under Biden. In other words, it now costs $6 to pay for as much food as you could buy for $5 under Donald Trump. That puts a huge strain on budgets when families are scraping by paycheck to paycheck.
Americans’ monthly energy bills have gone up by 31.5% since Biden was installed in the White House. People forget, but energy bills actually dropped by 1.9% when Trump was in office.
Everyone knows that prices are higher when they go to fill up at the gas pump as well. Gasoline is now 33.8% higher, thanks to Joe Biden strangling the American energy renaissance that the Trump administration had sparked.
The saddest part of all of this is that it was 100% avoidable. Joe Biden’s runaway spending, combined with crippling the energy sector to fight the fake problem of global warming, didn’t have to happen. Unfortunately, it’s going to take years to recover from the damage that Biden has done to the country.
