Any Madonna fans out there? Well, I have some rather disheartening news. No, she isn’t dead. So don’t go freaking out.

However, she did recently have quite a health scare. And it has led to the unfortunate postponement of her anniversary “Celebration” tour.

If you hadn’t heard, the 64-year-old singer announced the tour in January, hoping “to give my fans the show they have been waiting for.” It was set to kick off in Vancouver, Canada, on July 15.

But now, that probably won’t happen.

So what happened?

Well, as Page Six reported, Madonna was found “unresponsive” on Saturday. The outlet noted that she was hospitalized in New York City and “intubated for at least one night before having the tube removed – and she is now alert and recovering.”

See, like I said, there is no reason to freak out.

People magazine also confirmed that the singer is “out of the ICU now and recovering.”

Guy Oseary, Madonna’s long-time manager, gave further details on her condition and upcoming tour by posting to Instagram.

Apparently, the singer “developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several day stay in the ICU.” But as also sources confirm, she is now recovering and expected to do so quickly and fully.

Oseary noted that due to the health scare, all “commitments, which includes the tour,” will need to be slightly delayed.

Madonna’s team will share details of her recovery and when fans can expect to see her on tour as soon as possible.

Naturally, fans from all walks of life have flocked to social media to wish the singer a speedy recovery and good health. More than a few mentioned that when they initially heard the news, they were in shock, experiencing things like “my stomach dropped” or “my heart stopped for a moment.”

As one Instagram user wrote, “I have to confess that my heart stopped for a moment when I read this news. I send my best and most sincere recovery wishes to her because the world needs to see that start shine.”

Forty years later and Madonna is still a fan favorite.

Stay tuned on how this will affect her tour.
