Despite liberals thinking we are all crazed for seeing the writing on the wall, the number of violent criminals and terrorists showing up on the southern border is skyrocketing. Now, a Lebanese-born illegal happily tipped his hand when detained in El Paso, TX. Basel Bassel Ebbadi, 22, was detained and questioned, he admitted to being a member of Hezbollah and had arrived with a mission. “I’m going to try to make a bomb,” in New York, he told investigators.
In his lengthy interview, Ebbadi detailed how he had walked away from Hezbollah as well as Hamas over his reluctance to take lives. He alleged he had spent seven years working for the organization in non-Muslim training as well as securing weapons holds. Now isolated and awaiting interviews with the Tactical Terrorism Response Team (TTRT), the only thing Ebbadi has coming to him is the return to his home country.
Speaking with the New York Post, Texas DPS Lt. Chris Olivarez said that it’s time the administration pay attention to the crisis they have created. “This underscores the need for border security measures as potential threats to both public safety and national security are evident and exploit security vulnerabilities. The federal government has failed to enact border security measures, and the state of Texas, through Governor Abbott’s Operation Lone Star, will continue to take unprecedented action to help secure the border.”
Arrivals with terrorist and extremist links have shot up significantly over the last few years. In just the first three months of 2024, there have been 59 of them detained. A massive surge from 172 in all of 2023 and an average of 30 from 2017 to 2021. We need to take note and close the border, as well as increase funding and manning to keep it safe.
