While there is a time and a place for everything, Steve Nikoui, the father of fallen Marine Lance CPL Kareem Nikoui, picked the best one despite ending up in handcuffs. As Biden tried standing up during the State Of The Union (SOTU) address and shining nothing but positivity on the country’s condition since he took office, Nikoui hit his boiling point.

As Biden said, “All Americans deserve the freedom to be safe, and America is safer today than when I took office,” Nikoui responded, “Remember Abbey Gate?!” Told to sit down and be quiet, the distraught father proclaimed, “United States Marines!! Kareem Nikoui!!” as he was being led out of the chamber.

In attendance as a guest of Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL), Nikoui was subsequently handcuffed, taken from the House Galleries, and arrested. Charged with a misdemeanor for “crowding, obstructing or incommoding,” he was cut loose shortly after being taken out.

On his House website, Rep. Mast posed with Nikoui proudly and proclaimed that it was his honor to have the Gold Star father as his SOTU guest. Having him in attendance served as a reminder of the failure that Biden and his leaders have been to troops and their families. During the abysmal withdrawal from the country, Biden left a massive power vacuum in Afghanistan. One that the Taliban was quick to fill right back up.

This failure claimed the lives of 11 US servicemembers and at least 170 Afghan civilians, as well as the injury to 45 other troops during the attack on Abbey Gate. After that, countless US assets were left behind for the Taliban and other Islamic forces to take, and hundreds of Americans and US allies were left for dead.

Most insulting of all is the total lack of responsibility and accountability for Biden or other leaders following the massacre.
